i guess i wasn't supposed to ask that,

because the xampp has links , but maybe i meant tasks or so ,

never mind !

anyone knows how to set the time and date on the dynebolic os
i know is not the easiest , but i have it on one of my pc's (the other is ubuntu-studio) , i;m having trouble setting-up the printer
and the date is set on "july 2002 12**pm"

not sure what to type at port: and socket:
i tried with paralel port and usb (this old box has usb 1.0) but i'm just not sure
and at socket i'm lost tried a few options but printer is not reacting ...yet

i tried reading and googling, i need an example for both of these issues i'm facing

linux rocks though , i'm loving it !

Hi , i have dsl installed now , first time installed a distro on hd in about i believe less then 10 minutes ,it was so fast i was surprised , cause i had problems with a previous version of dsl on this same pc

but now i noticed something interesting : a server

so my question is :

can put up a 2 page website for instance
and how do i see it from another pc (www.,ip,?)

i started the server and made a 2 lines html page and put it into the htdoc folder

checked my ip address and tried to get on that page with another pc (connected to the internet ofcourse)

i found a nice book in the library by Nicholas Wells , so i thought i 'll give it a shot (only the linuxcd that comes with the book is not in it)

so i thought maybe i can use monkeyserver as an alternative
