Need a little help with mutli-server update

I have a Debian 7 server that I am running and helping to administer. The issue I have ran across in trying to figure out the best way to do this. Is I need to update 2 servers from a central update folder for some games that are ran. I havent found a way that is best at deleting the contents of certain folders and then copying the contents from the update folder to that section. I tried to do sftp but its going to be a bit of work of coding out a bash script.

TL;DR
Not so complex bash script
Possibly using git or murical
Use a central update folder to update multiple other servers from one.

Rsync to push stuff to servers and ClusterSSH, Dsh, Fanout or whatever else to execute commands on multiple servers at the same time or else Puppet or an equivalent?
