In my data Centre, Nagios 3.2 is running successfully since 4+ years. Now, I want to implement some the below listed tasks, which are quite difficult,as i never worked on it.
1. IT server room temp. Heat above 26 degree.
2. UPS power down in Server room. UPS is SNMP & IP Address enabled.
3. SAP Production Server power or sap service down
4. Exchange Email server service or power down
5. Microsoft ISA server down
6. Barracuda spam filter power or service down (MX record is there)
7. Email – SAP Production server Backup fail
8. Email – Exchange backup fail
For the above listed programs, Nagios should send SMS alert on the registered mobile phone. My Nagios is running on,
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
4 GB RAM
4 Network interfaces
500 GB SATA Hard Drive
CentOS 5.4 Linux.
So, I would like to know which GSM modem OR Mobile device is compatible with Nagios & CentOS 5.4 i386. I have already assigned dedicated SMS Gateway service for Nagios Setup.
