Kashid,
Unfortunately, I am not able to open link provided by you to cross verify.
Again, the query you asked is very vegue, you need to be a little bit specific.
Couple of quick things:
1. Are you using only remote montioring? Or you have client installed?
2. If client is installed, whether communication between server and client is happening. netstat would be good option to start.
3. Communication between Nagios server and client? Ping? traceroute?
4. The message you are seeing is in Nagios monitoring console or some log files?
5. Can you try to run check_ping command from your commnad prompt and see if it is running fine?
1)-I am remotely monitoring. Actually I have two servers on cloud. On one server I have installed nagios and on another nrpe to monitor 2nd one's services.
2)-I have tried to listen the port on 2nd server it is listening (nrpe port 5666)
3)-Both are not on LAN so I don't understand how to ping, if you mean that by pinging live ip's then yes both machines can ping each other
4)-I am seeing this message in nagios web interface
5)-I have tried check_ping command on server side and got the message
CHECK_NRPE: Error - Could not complete SSL handshake.
The link I followed is working fine on my side. I am posting it again. Kindly take a look again
