MySQL reset master server

Hi,
how can I completely reset a MySQL master server?
I mean, I need to import a previous backup and start from a new point.
Should I only type "reset master" on MySQL console?
I need to manually delete all the previous bin log file in /var/lib/mysql directory?

Thank you!

Just import the database dump that you have, it will overwrite the data that exists.

Ok for MySQL databases, but what about binary log (master-bin.0000x and mysql-relay.bin.0000x)? Can I safely delete them?
I'd prefer to start with the "cleanest" server as possible
Thank you
