yes, that it does, it should be fairly straightforward setup in your router then. Most recent routers have an interface that you can use to define the forwarding of certian ports. it may help here to know what kind of router your are using and just what kind of interface you are having to use to configure it.

hi,

i am going to contact my isp for this issue. because while googled for this issue, i got a reply that some isp block port no 80 to avoid web hosting from home servers.

so i hope that having discussion with my isp will provide some clear idea to solve it.

thanks&regards,
Dinesh.

That is a good idea. to test that theroy you can change the port # that is used externally while still leaving it redirected to port 80 on your server.

I had the same problem with my ISP as well. Now I am using a really high portnumber and it works just fine! So give it a try.

hi every one,

my problem had been solved, actually it was solved before two days but it was unnoticed by me.what i did now is i opened the port no 80 in my router and then i checked it from an internet browsing centre.it is displaying the web page created in our server. For these 3 days i have been checking inside our LAN that is why it showed the router page.

i thank every one who helped me in solving this problem.

thanks&regards,
Dinesh.
