LDAP and Openfiler roaming profiles
Hi guys,
I have installed an LDAP server (OpenSUSE 11.3) and Openfiler which sits on two seperate servers. Openfiler and LDAP is authenticating against one another.
The main issue I am facing now is to have a centralized storage for all the user's Home Directories and all the home directories should be on the Openfiler Server. Now I have mounted a directory (NFS Client & autofs), and when I create a new LDAP user, I change the home path to the mount point of NFS. For example:
home directory of LDAP user was /home/johnf/ and changed it to
/ldaphome/johnf/
/ldaphome is the mount point of NFS and I have used autofs to redirect that through to Openfiler.
Now the problem is when I login as the LDAP user it returns the error:
"failed to create and initialize directory '/ldaphome/johnf/'".
My head is about to explode. . . any idea of what I am doing wrong?
Thanks in advance guys
