Just one command:
Code:
# yum install httpd php mysql mysql-server

a few things and one is this
-- and it is a SHOW STOPPER --
Code:
There was an error parsing the RHN proxy settings.
RHN support will be disabled.
this is not a paid for nor activated copy of some version of red hat

you MUST buy a license and activated your install
-- no if's and's or but's --

then you can install software .

php should be already installed from the install dvd
along with Apache and MySQL

red hat is meant for use as a server so these programs tend to be installed by default

there should be a handy desktop icon to activate it if this is the DESKTOP version
https://www.redhat.com/support/
spend the $299 US for the 1 year contract
https://www.redhat.com/apps/store/desktop/

but seeing as you want the server packages
have a look at the RHEL server page
https://www.redhat.com/apps/store/server/

If you do not plan on buying it then do not use red hat
install CentOS 6.0 or ScientificLinux 6.1
https://www.centos.org/
http://www.scientificlinux.org/
they are free rebuilds of RHEL

Another option would be you can either switch to CentOS or just use the CentOS repo. CentOS is the exact same thing as RHEL with out the option for support...This means you can change to a Cent repo and safely install packages from there if you don't have a paid RHN subscription. Also if you need newer versions of the software you can also use a 3rd party repo like Remi's at http://rpms.famillecollet.com/.

if you do use cent rpms on rhel you need to PORT red hat to use them. That is you will need to hack the operating system

see

Since CentOS is binary compatible with RHEL, it's not a hack. You are just replacing a few packages with the CentOS equivalents.

CentOS uses the same source code packages as Red Hat, and builds them so that they are binary compatible. In other words, there's no difference except the logos and some copyrighted artwork. It is totally free. Anything you can do with Red Hat, you can do with CentOS - except get Red Hat support.

about the only real difference is the support for any one version
CentOS ONLY supports the current version
right now that is cent 4.9 , 5,6, 6.0 ( 5.7 and 6.1 soon )
Cent DOSE NOT backport fixes to older versions like red hat dose - for that you NEED a paid for license and support contract.

so you will need to install the minor upgrades for cent 6 that will be 6.1 then in about a year 6.2 then 6.3 and so on
but minor version upgrades almost always work with little to no problems .
