install PHP with imap extension
Hi,
I was getting an error saying "PHP imap extension is not installed" and trying to fix it.
At first, I tried to uncomment the following line in my /usr/local/lib/php.ini file.
extension=php_imap.dll
save it and restart apache.
But it just keeps on saying "PHP imap extension is not installed".
Is there another way of compiling PHP with IMAP support on Ubuntu Server 12.04.5 LTS. I know that I can install PHP with IMAP by running the command "aptitude install php-imap". But the problem I have is that my PHP was installed manually from the source, so I need to find another way of compiling my PHP with imap. I did a bit of research and found that I may need to install something like "libc-client-dev". But this will require to install:
The following NEW packages will be installed:
libc-client2007e{a} libc-client2007e-dev libpam0g-dev{a} libssl-dev{a} libssl-doc{a} mlock{a}
And I don't want to install libssl-dev package as my openssl is installed from the source too.
I'm hoping if anyone might be kind to share some knowledge.
Thank you very much in advance
