how will kow which disks getting much busy in aix


Hi,

I am getting 100% disk use in AIX, how will I know which partition getting much busy.

Disk Busy% KBPS TPS KB-Read KB-Writ
Total 100.0 33.0K 7669.0 1196.3 31.8K

Try any/all of these:
htop http://linux.die.net/man/1/htop
dstat http://linux.die.net/man/1/dstat
sar http://linux.die.net/man/1/sar

First, you do realize there is an AIX forum here, which would be the proper place for this, right?

Also, if you put just a VERY small amount of effort into looking this up (say, by putting "how to check disk performance in aix" into Google), you'd see lots. Some from IBM's website....and since you're PAYING for AIX (which is the ONLY way to get/use it), have you called IBM for help? And as you've said before...you've been an administrator for years, and are running over 150 servers...shouldn't this be a trivial (if not DAILY) task for you??
