How to Sync Postfix Sent Mails in different email Clients

Dear Gurus,
I am facing a problem during shifting from squirll mail to openwebmail.my mail boxes are transferring fine but my sent items are not transferring,
the other problem is that when my users sent mail from their outlook express client it reserve the sent mails history ,but when user login in squirell mail or openwebmail web client the can't get their Sent mails which was sent by outlook client.

i want solution ,that when my users sent mail from any email cleint/web client it should have centralize Sent item database in Server(postfix)

plz tell me any parameter so that postfix will maintain sent item in its database so from any client i can access the mails i get my sent item as For Future record.

Waiting for yours solutions...

Sent mail is nothing to do with postfix whatsoever. This would be done by using imap / pop3 to place a copy of a mail on the remote server, not via smtp. if all your webmail solutions are using the same imap folder, so if that's not happening then the imap settings will be wrong somewhere.

or your clients are configured to just save the messages to a local folder, not to the server. You have to specifically configure Outlook to save sent messages to the server if you don't configure it for MAPI (Exchange) mode. It's also only supported for IMAP4.

You didn't answer the question. Are you sure your Outlook clients were configured to save messages to the server? I'm guessing they were not.

It's not a dovecot issue - you can tell squirrelmail where to store sent messages (sent folder for example), but I'm not sure if you can for Outlook Express - you may be stuck with OE keeping sent files locally.

In Squirrelmail, look under options / folder preferences

Can't help on openwebmail

what is this referring to? If you are talking about OE, as I said, it probably isn't there. It's a crap client - enough said.

Did you read my post? I've told you where to set it in squirrelmail. Read the instructions or search the web for openwebmail if you can't work it out.
