How to start the RHEL7 installation on HP DL380

Hi guys,

I have a problem to start the install RHEL on HP DL380. there is a HP smartstart CD, right now in my hand, i only burned the RHEL to a usb drive and this server do not support boot from USB. so i have to start the server with smartstart CD, cause boot CD can't load display screen drive, so this cd can't make the server get into the GUI, right now it's in the runlevel3. this CD mini os is SUSE linux.

right now, i have mount the USB, and can display all the content of the ISO file. problem is how can i get start the installation after i get into the USB. here, i can't make another boot CD or DVD cause no any device beside to do that.

appreciate for anyone provide comments.

Hi a few things

one is the English language your primary language
i am guessing it is not

a linux site in YOUR first / primary language might be best

second
this is Redhat
so you do have a support license

why not just use a " Net install" from a local machine

or burn a install CD and use that
Quote:
so this cd can't make the server get into the GUI, right now it's in the runlevel3.
a gui is normally not used on a server and normally not installed

the rhel install cd will text install just fine , that is the default

so
REREAD the redhat install guide
- seeing as i do not know your native language
this is the EN-USA
https://access.redhat.com/documentat...ide/index.html

start here to set YOUR language
https://access.redhat.com/documentation

Thanks John about your comments.

Yes, i dig a little bit on Redhat, i will contact with the support about this. right now burn a CD or whatever start a net install, it's not possible to load the raid card drivers. I got the rpm raid driver. things right now is i need make a driver disk CD or an iso file. this iso image need to be kind of rhdd3 format. with my knowledge, i don't know how to create this kind of disk.

Thanks
