How to rescue the corrupted fstab file in centos 6.2 in remote server


Hi all,
Today my fstab file has been courrupted ,when i try to connect the server it goes to repair filesystem prompt .I searched of google regarding the issue most have solved the problem by boot the server using live cd.I dont have options to rescue the server using Live cd .Any method how can i resue the corrupted file in Linux

If you messed up the fstab yourself, I would suggest you (always) run "mount -a" immediately after changing fstab to check your changes prior to the next reboot.

For your current predicament, try "emergency" mode as described at the bottom of this page. I just tried it on RHEL 6.3 and it appears not to run fstab, so should give you a chance to fix things.
