How to compile my vps ?


Os:centos 7.

wget http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kern...4.10.11.tar.gz
tar -xzvf linux-4.10.11.tar.gz
cd linux-4.10.11
make menuconfig
make bzImage
make modules
make modules_install
make install
sh ./arch/x86/boot/install.sh 4.10.11 arch/x86/boot/bzImage \
System.map "/boot"
Cannot find LILO.

At the last step ,Cannot find LILO.

I got the answer.
My vps is openvz.
ls /proc/
vz

OpenVZ otherwise known as Linux Containers, is just that, a container based virtualization hypervisor for Linux.
You can only run linux operations systems in an OpenVZ VPS, and you cannot make any kernel level modifications inside the VPS.
The VPS’s on the host rely on the hosts kernel.

The kenerl can't be complied for my vps.
