I have been on the web searching for a long time, and I have yet to come across a detailed tutorial on using the Enlightenment Sound Daemon. Supposedly, this thing can transfer sound over a network to a client computer.
That sounds nice, but I can't find anything truly detailed enough. I'm using Ubuntu Feisty, but it seems like there is never enough detail in any one discussion on the Internet.
What do I install?
How do I set it up?
How do I setup the IP addresses?
Will the server listen for any incoming transmissions or do I have to set that up, too?
Can I run a sound program, such as Audacity, via VNC on the server and have it transmit the sound to the client which is connecting into the server?
Can I somehow involve SSH with all of this?
The articles I read have people keep pointing other people toward weblinks and the such, but I'm not getting anywhere by looking at road signs.
I've got this, though:
