"gethostby*.getanswer: asked for "", got "." on messages file


Hello:
On a RedHat server's /etc/log/messages file, i see many of the entries:
¸÷¶$õ: gethostby*.getanswer: asked for "", got "."

It is a VM. Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.9 (Tikanga). 2.6.18-348.1.1.el5 #1 SMP.
