Gateway cascading, forwarding, chaining, relaying

Hi Guys,

Here is the configuration:

Host CentOS 5
5 KVM guests all running CentOS 5

I want the host to act as a gateway for all the hosts. The host will eventually connect to another gateway. All the host and guets are assigned static IP configuration. The host have only one NIC which is bridged.

The idea is I want a fixed configuration in the guests with the host abstracting the necessary network parameters.

Simply, for example:
All the guests will have
Code:
# The host
GATEWAY=192.168.1.11
and the host will have:
Code:
# The actual gateway
GATEWAY=192.168.1.99
in the corresponding /etc/sysconfig/netwok config files. If I change the gateway in the host, it should not affect the guests.

Hope I have stated it clear what I am looking for. If not please let me know.

If you have other ideas to achieve this, please feel free to throw in.

Thanks
