Unhappy ftp:connect:connection refused

#chkconfig --list wu-ftpd
wu-ftpd on
#service xinetd status
xinetd(pid 2165)is running...
the firewall allows tcp
but when ftp 192.168.*.*,it said:"tp:connect:connection refused",
i really don't know where was the problem at.by the same way, other computers that have same linux system and the same configure have not got this problem, the ftp works well.

Did you mean to say that the firewall allows ftp?
Just to check, you are having a problem with other hosts connecting to this host, correct?
According to /etc/services:
Code:
ftp-data 20/tcp # File Transfer [Default Data]
ftp-data 20/udp # File Transfer [Default Data]
ftp 21/tcp # File Transfer [Control]
Also check if there is a pam or xinetd configuration for it. Also, if you are using active-ftp, you may need to have the nf_conntrack_ftp kernel module loaded. The module may have a different name depending on which kernel version you are using.
