Where does x2go log the time at date of client logins? or dosnt it log anything? i have searched far and wide, and even contacted the x2go dev mailing list, but i have found no answer anywhere.

i've found the solution while searching abit more.
it turns out that x2go does not keep its own log files, but SSH logs all the sessions (its a nobrainer when you figure it out, but until then its the last place you'll look). SSH logs the sessions in /var/logs/auth.log
i'm writing this so others in my peril can figure it out

best regards

My disappointment is that it doesn't write to lastlog - I would have expected it to show last logins for users in last by default.
