Easiest Mail server Setup

I've setup a home server using ubuntu with wordpress on it. I need to setup a mail server on the server as at the moment I can't send or receive mail when using wordpress. Can anybody tell me of a good well explained tutorial that will help me set this up? (I've heard that Postfix is a good option to go with)

I'm not familiar with Wordpress - is it not able to use the default 'sendmail' ? It's reasonably easy to set up Postfix + Dovecot on Ubuntu where Postfix will deal with the SMTP side of things, Dovecot the POP/IMAP side of things.
