Unhappy Driver for marvell 88se6440 sas card for linux 4.0


Hi....

iam having MARVELL 88SE6440 sas card ,while installing linux 4.0 ir is giving error that " no hard drives found".

i tried by loading driver using command "linux dd" i tried by loading driver which is supplied by the sas card but it is not instlling the drivers.

i tried drivers on internet but unable to get the driver .

Please help me to find the driver.is there any site to down load the driver.
i tried by ionstalling win 2k3 server it is installing.

please help me........

What 'linux 4.0' are you installing? Do you mean RedHat Enterprise Linux 4.0, or some other version?

The "dd" command does NOT load any drivers (see the man page for DD for a complete explanation). The built-in Linux kernel drivers for it refer to a patch released in 2007, to address compatibility issues. First thing I'd suggest, would be to load a newer version of Linux, or contact RedHat support (if you're using RHEL).

Also, you say you're unable to load drivers...it might help if you posted an actual error message, or give some details about what's going on, rather than just saying 'it's not installing"....
