Drive errors looping after booting server "ata 1 irq stat connection status... etc."

Hello everyone, I'm receiving the following errors on a loop after booting to a ramdisk on a server.

ata1: irq_stat 0x00400040, connection status changed
ata1: SError: { HostInt PHYRdyChg 10B8B DevExch }
ata1: hard resetting link
ata1: SATA link up 1.5 Gbps (SStatus 114 SControl 310)
ata1.00: configured for UDMA/33
ata1: EH complete

The server has network access. I've tried reseating the sata cables. I soon will try reducing the server to minimum configuration to try and rule out a dimm or mobo issue. Can anyone tell me what exactly is going on?

Thanks!

Hello and welcome to LQ.

Exactly what do you mean ramdisk? Do you have a ide adapter to sd/sf card?
UDMA/33 doesn't suggest sata to me. Could this be some other device like cd rom?

Kind of a lot going on at that point. We might need to know more about the system. ACHI able, uefi and so on.

By ramdisk I mean a block of memory that is treated as a virtual hard disk. It doesn't have an sd card. And it doesn't have an optical drive. I don't think it uses ahci, probably nvme more likely. And I believe it uses traditional bios.
