Dovecot issues with imap folders
Environment: Centos 6.5 server. Current versions of Dovecot, sendmail
The problem is dovecot seems not to be able to supply the inbox to mail clients. It's a new server and sendmail (combined with Spamassassin) is working fine, with all new mail landing in the /var/spool/mail folder under each username. Only linux accounts - no virtual users.
When logging in through ssh, get messages fine that there's mail. Doing it through imap, just get the mail folders in the user's home account but nothing from the /var/spool/mail folder.
Have set the mail_location setting in 10-mail.conf to
= mbox:~/mail:INBOX=/var/mail/%u
Have checked permissions on /var/mail and it is correct and points to the right place.
I simply can't work out why it's not picking it up. I have to admit that I've not used Dovecot 2 before - I've always been on a 1.x version that only has dovecot.conf and not the conf.d folder with the 10-xxx.conf files.
Any help greatly appreciated because I need it!!
