Dovecot and ndele options

Hi Everyone,

I have a RHES 4 mailserver with Sendmail,Postfix and Dovecot configured.

Our worry is previously we had the mailserver in RHL9.

Here after the upgrade to RHL9 to RHES4 i couldnt see maillog shows the log of ndele options.

Here the difference is ipop3d Xinetd service in RHL9
So the maillog as shown below

Sep 8 14:26:41 mydomain ipop3d[30874]: Login user=fxxxx.kxxx host=[public ip] nmsgs=0/0
Sep 8 14:26:41 mydomain ipop3d[30874]: Logout user=fxxxx.kxx host=[public ip] nmsgs=0 ndele=0

When it comes to Dovecot i could see the log as below
May 6 12:22:54 tnqdns1 pop3-login: Login: outsource [::ffff:10.0.7.144]
May 6 12:22:54 tnqdns1 pop3-login: Login: mastercopy [::ffff:10.0.7.144]

Can anyone help in having the logs in the older way like nmsgs and ndele options at dovecot.

This is actually need to trace the common mailbox mailcounts when a client recieved the mail

Thanks and Regards,
Rasal p

I would suggest you take a look at dovecott's logging options, it can be as verbose and informative as you care to make it. Although you aren't likely to get the log in the exact same format.

Logging is limit in HIGHER version. RHL9 reports login and logout info but in RHES4 doesnt provide logout information.

or otherwise

Thanks
