Disable dhcpd logging


Hello,

Ive searched forums and read syslog dhcpd man pages, but cannot figure out how to completely disable dhcpd logging :S .

Some hints?

i cant test this as i dont h ave a dhcpd server running...but have you tried adding dhcpd.none to the relevant (prob /var/log/messages or syslog) line in /etc/syslog.conf?

Ok, thanx for your time, that didnt work, because dhcpd facility does not exists, at least in centos not.

So I had to add line in dhcpd conf LOG-FACILITY I made it local6 then added local6.none to syslog.conf.

that solved the problem.

chkconfig dhcpd off

question was about logging not disabling dhcpd

I added log fascility option to dhcpd.conf.

This facility isn not logged anywhere. This solved it.
