Console Application not working when using nohup

Hello.

I have a console application made with .net core 2.2 that i'm trying to run into a serve CentOS 7. I'm using putty to connect to the server and do what i need. the thing is: when i use the ./app command to run it it runs fine, but when i close putty it seems like the program close.

So i tried the command nohup ./app but it brings the error
nohup: ignoring input and appending output to ‘nohup.out’
Aborted (core dumped)
Anyone has any idea why?

your title is misleading, because your app is ok. Just you want to detach it from your putty.
first of all you can try screen. it will automatically detach from putty if you close and you can reattach later.
But if you want to use nohup you may need to take care about stdout/stderr - and do not forget about & at the end:

screen has a man page and a good tutorial can be found here: https://www.rackaid.com/blog/linux-s...al-and-how-to/, but you can look for another one if you wish.
