Cilent to transfer file through NFS to server


Hi,

what is the easiest way to setup NFS at server's end so that client could transfer wile at their end.

Please help. thanks

You don't say which distro you are using. This is the howto for gentoo: http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/NFS

The "emerge" command in there is to install from the distribution repository. So you will have to search for "NFS" in yours at those steps. The exports and kernel configs should be the same. Most people have NFS in the kernel by default, so you hopefully have that too (so that you can voide recompiling the kernel at least).
