CentOS BIND Local DNS server

Hey,
I've been looking for a good tutorial for setting up a BIND DNS server for my local network. What I want to do is

Have BIND running on my home server receiving all DNS requests
Have certain zones (my.zone.lan) pointing to custom IP addresses (I.E. server.lan points to 192.168.{server IP})
Zones that don't exist should be passed on to OpenDNS for processing.

Regards,
-Sam

BIND

For such a home network, have you considered DNSMASQ instead?
It is far easier to configure and maintain, and can also provide DHCP services if required.

Here are a couple of links that I found useful when setting up my own DNS (and DHCP) server. Regarding your statement about passing zones that don't exist to openDNS, you will want to set OpenDNS to be followers, which are where your DNS will go next if it can't self resolve them.

Is this a typo? Did you mean forwarders?

Yes, forwarders. I need to learn to stop posting before coffee.

Thanks guys,
lots for me to look into, and after all, why have a home server if you're not going to play around with 20 different configs =)
