I have a strange issue. There's a particular PC I need to backup over Samba and it appears to work correctly, only to find out that most of the files have not been transferred. Out of 32 folders, there are only thirteen that get transferred before BackupPC decides that it's finished. I have a server running CentOS 6.5 and it has BackupPC installed. I've never had this issue on the older Ubuntu backup server.
I looked in the logs and there is no mention of any kind of permissions issue. After the last file gets transferred, it shows the following:
tarExtract: Done: 0 errors, 2750 filesExist, 19281997385 sizeExist, 16102473611 sizeExistComp, 2750 filesTotal, 19281997385 sizeTotal
I can provide any other information necessary. Thanks in advance.
EDIT:
The particular command that BackupPC uses is:
/usr/bin/smbclient \\\\192.168.21.30\\Share -U tech -E -d 1 -c tarmode\ full -Tc -
I went into the command line and accessed the Windows share via Samba. I was able to see all of the files and folders, so Samba definitely knows they are there.
EDIT2:
The long is pretty lengthy but I happened to find this error:
Quote:
NT_STATUS_SHARING_VIOLATION opening remote file \Doc6.QBW (\)
NT_STATUS_SHARING_VIOLATION listing \\*
tar: dumped 2817 files and directories
Total bytes written: 19282701824
|
After this it dumped about 20 more files before it stopped.
