My application is running on MySQL it is installed in RHEL 6.4.

I want take weekly backup for my application. For this I know the command, I created script for this. see below.

skill -KILL java
skill -KILL ls_srvuni
skill -KILL ls_schdlr
cd /home/libsys/jboss-6.1/server/default
rm -rf log/ tmp/ work/

Here, below commands should be start after 10 minutes, for this how to write script.

mysqldump -uroot -plibsys libsys> /home/libsys/databasebackup/`date +%d%m%y`.sql

after taking backup of my application I will restat the services, which loated in rc.local.


kindly give me the solution.

From your description, just re-run the relevant cmd(s) by copying them from rc.local into the backup ctrl script.
I'm assuming there are other things besides them in rc.local.
