After changing the nas storage device NFS cant cd entire path

After changing the nas storage device NFS cant cd entire path but one directory at a time works. For example cd /mnt/home/xxx I get a permission denied, but if I do cd /mnt (works) then cd home (works)

Welcome to LinuxQuestions.

What distribution/version are you running?

While it may not matter you changed the NAS from what device to what device? What version of NFS is running on the new NAS?

Do you make any other change except for swapping physical devices?

How is the NFS share being mounted?

Does cd /mnt/home work?
What are the permissions on xxx?
