Many options. First, though...Fedora 12 is ANCIENT, and you really need to use something current. But the distro is irrelevant, since you're asking about how to connect to an Oracle database server through a web page. This can be done with PHP, Java, Ruby, and many other methods as well. Putting in "how to connect to an oracle database through a web page" into Google pulls up over ELEVEN MILLION results...have you looked at ANY of them??? The first two are from Oracle themselves: http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/tech..._db/php_db.htm http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/...htm#TDPNG00000
Java would be the LAST thing to evaluate, in my opinion. Both PHP and Ruby are MUCh easier to implement. But,that's up to you...you still don't say what you're trying to do, or give us any details, so it could be that java is the better way to go.
