yeah, really, planning to crack into the cia? you should change your nick' to Safecracker J.K, but really, rootkits aren't good for anything but maliciousness and probably don't teach you anything, building your own rootkit (not of course to use it on any sytstem other than your own of course) is far more educational

"the 'wind' just broke his leg" - Hawkeye Pierce

sorry, looking at the alias just popped that in my head

iamthewind: Could you possibly mean "chkrootkit" because you really want to check to see if your machine is secure?

I mean you don't want to wreck/steal other people's machine right? Say it ain't so! I mean, that would be against the rules of this board...

Just to be clear: Chkrootkit is at chkrootkit.org, and for rootkit D/L reqs you're at the wrong site.

You mean there's a chance my sarcasm made things unclear?
I'll have to be careful with that

Not by a LONG shot in my book. However I don't know you're mom so I can't comment on the SOB part...

I was just feeling goofy myself is all...and posts like this just seem to ASK for at least a modicum of goofiness.

No, he really is. Look at his user profile, under interests it lists kicking puppies and making fun of the homeless.

Sorry, can't avoid a good smart@ss fest when I see one.

I wasn't asking you for your book. Mine tells me different anyway. I think they been in denial ever since the reprints came out. You have no idea what it is to be around books that can't contain themselves...

So, are you by any chance implying I was feeling goofy?
The insolence! I'll kick a puppy for that!

Dunno? Maybe it reminds one of years gone by, mortality? Those evenings with the family... sun going down... all the young uns huddling together on the hearthrug by the fire, whispering tree's, crickets in the field, parents wagging their tail?..
Naw, I guess that's just too woof to be true.

Hmm. Toad, anyone?
