"Verisign PKI" and FTP

Hi all,

We have a customer who is insisting that we offer "Verisign PKI" security for secure connections to our FTP server.

We are already using FTP/SSL (with ProFTPD) using the same Verisign SSL cert as our web server.

What exactly is "Verisign PKI" and does it offer any more security than we already have?

Thank you.

No answers yet. My conclusion, unless anyone has a reason to think differently, is that what I am using now with FTP/SSL and the Verisign SSL cert is "Verisign PKI".

PKI is Public Key Infrastructure, an arrangement that binds public keys with respective user identities by means of a certificate authority (CA), and in our case the CA is Verisign. I think that our FTP/SSL configuration already satisfies the customer's requirements.
