Using gpg?


I need to start encripting some on my personal work, i need to password protect certain files so you can only decript it by using gpg with a password???how do i do this?

Easy way - install kgpg, and take it from there. Otherwise, gpg --help will give you all of the options.

I have kpg install on one on the machines but want to encrypt things while i use ssh into another box

What does this mean? Please clarify.

If you mean you are trying to do this at the command prompt via ssh, I suggest you start with

$ man gpg

Alternatively, install kgpg on the box the files are on. Then use ssh -X, and start kgpg
