user accounts


How do I check what rights an account has let say for example I am logged in as root and there was an account on the system that was created by another administrator. what command would I use and what is the correct syntax?

groups username will show you what groups that user is a member of, finding what files those groups have access to is something you'll have to do seperately.

what would be the syntax to check for the group info? I use Novell SUSE 9.1. For example I created a standard account and named it master under YAST (GUI).
