Unhappy How do you install Encryption program?

How do you install Encryption program? I used the command from root
[root@host ~]# rngd -r /dev/urandom
the return message bash :rngd: command/not found

Welcome to LQ. A few points:

1) That you consider something urgent does not mean anyone else does. Remember, we are all volunteers here.

2) "Urgent" is not an informative post title, as it gives no hint as to what your post is about. Persons who might be able to help you could well overlook your question. A title such as "Need Help with Encryption on [Distro Name]" would have been more informative.

3) Search engines are your friend.

4) The more detail you provide, the easier it is for others to help you.

It is usually best to install from the distribution's repositories. Some one could explain that but you haven't indicated which of the hundreds of different Linux distributions you are using.

Where did you get the 'rngd'?

Hello and welcome to the forum

In addition to what frankbell has suggested, please read the information here.

What distribution and version do you use? What specifically are looking to encrypt?

Regards...

Welcome to LQ!
in a terminal issue:
Code:
sudo apt-get install rng-tools
Code:
sudo rngd -r /dev/urandom
returns to prompt here.

If you're not on an apt-based system, then please, tell us what OS?
Code:
cat /etc/redhat-release # or
lsb_release -dc
We don't want to drag this out any longer than it has to.
How can we help?

Thank you,
