Updating LE2005 and Red Hat 9.0

I have two machines running the OSes listed above.

My problem comes when I attempt to update. Now, I can access the web just fine from both machines. The update simply fails.

Also, When I attempted to set up a Mandriva Account, it says that it is an invalid e-mail address. Yet, The same E-Mail account is the same that I am using for this forum!!! If anyone can help me, it'd be great.

To update Mandriva, go to easyurpmi, setup epositories for the Mandriva version that you are using (main, contrib, plf and updates). Once thats done, do as root
Code:
#urpmi.update -a
#urpmi --auto-select
All installed packages will be updated.

As for Redht 9, it reached its end of life sometime last year, so there are no more upgrades for it from Redhat. You have to upgrade to Fedora Core or Redhat Enterprise Linux.
