TeamViewer iptables/firewall.

I've downloaded TeamViewer 10 on my server so I can safely use it outside my network.

I get "Please check your connection" When it starts, and I will not receive an ID or Password.

I've tried several times

Code:
teamviewer --daemon restart

#and
teamviewer --daemon stop

#and
teamviewer --daemon start
Is this a firewall issue?

I have this entry in iptables for VNC, I assumed that this would work for TeamViewer. I could be wrong, but doesn't TeamViewer require port 5900 ?

Code:
-A INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp -m multiport --dports 5900:5913,6000:6013 -j ACCEPT

Any suggestions or tips?

I know firewall and iptables are two different things. I havent changed my firewall yet.

It looks like teamviewer only uses port 80, 443 and 5938 to connect to the teamviewer servers. You don't need any incoming ports open on your firewall, you just need to be able to make an outgoing connection to the teamviewer server.

Do you need to use a proxy server for normal web browsing? If you do, then you will need to set the proxy up in the teamviewer settings.

I don't use a proxy.

I should mention I am running centos6.6 32bit

EDIT: It seems TeamViewer 11 works. I just can't use 11 until my manager upgrades us to an 11 license
