ssh from an untrusted host

Hi,
How can I ssh to my server from computers that I don't know if they are clean.

If there is a key logger installed, it could sniff my pass.

Let's say that I use public key authentication and I don't type any password.

But what can I do when I must su and type the root pass?

If there is physical key logger on the computer that you are on than yes it will show your password. However, if someone was just packet sniffing they wouldn't see your password (well they would but it would be encrypted). If your really worried about then use a key and no password or try booting off a live cd. If however there is an implement between the keyboard and the computer I would suggest not using it at all. My 2 cents.
