ssh connection closed by server

I am trying to connect from one Debian box to another using ssh. When I attempt to login to the remote machine, I get an error message saying "connection closed". This was working yesterday. If I use the "-vvv" flag, this is the last debug output I see:
Code:
debug3: authmethod_is_enabled keyboard-interactive
debug1: Next authentication method: keyboard-interactive
debug2: userauth_kbdint
debug2: we sent a keyboard-interactive packet, wait for reply
Connection closed by 192.168.0.101
Any ideas what could be happening? I upgraded both Debain machines yesterday, but not the ssh package.

Did you upgrade pam or anything else authentication related?

The new glibc will break grsecurity/PaX if you are using it. This renders many applications inoperable.

Of course you can disregard this post if you are not using grsecurity/PaX; or if you do not have a glibc version >= 2.3.4 installed.

One of the packages updated is libc6. I upgraded from 2.3.2 to 2.3.5. However, I do not use pax. Perhaps the glibc problem affects some other authentication related package? I'm checking bug reports ....
