How many of you here faced sercurity attacks on linux
and how u came to know about that and how u
solved it. And what precaution u have taken so that
these attacks does'nt occur in future.

Plz discuss the scenario ??

General precautionary measures to aid security include minimal installs, updates, strong passwords, run in an ordinary user account, disable un-necessary services, a firewall - might also want to consider something like Snort or Tripwire.
