SCP ??? where did the file go ??????

Hi All,

((Since this posting I have got it licked thx ))

I recently tried to copy files from my machine to a friends machine. Everything looked fine, it appeared to copy fine. Trouble is I cant seem to find the files at the other end ???? here is the command I used:

root@neptune0615]# scp -rC /home/trip/CVs//CPVv

**.*.***.***: ~/home/neptune0615

root@**.*.***.***'s password:***************

CPVv 100% |******************************************************************************************| 15778 00:02

Have I done this wrong

thanks in advance

Just as a reminder - if you solve your own question please post the answer - someone else might come along and have the exact same problem. Your answer may help them.

Have you checked the home directory for root?
You could always use locate or find on a known file...
