i noticed many tutorials on postfix
but i have Mutt Mail Fetchmail and exim4 ,comes default with debian server ,if i'm not mistaking
so my question is do i need to configure everyhting ,it didn't check the default settings, or can i makea fetchmailrc file and wait for my mail,
i have a mailserver , but i just want it to get mail from my hotmail and gmail account
i tried a system-wide setting , but without any succes , then per-user ,got the socket error and can't find name resolution
I'll check later how everything is configured, been trying three days to get my mail on my debian server, i understand the basics of how things work, been reading wrong tutorials with postfix and other stuff , almost removed some of the above mentioned programs , but before i follow some other tutorial with postfix , i want to try to get what i have working , for the time being
is there a rkhunter package with the ./configure file instead of the shellinstaller .sh files to install rkhunter
Like your fellow LQ member (and sometimes Rootkit Hunter Wiki maintainer ;-p) Aus9 already said 'sh installer.sh --help' should give you the necessary info. If you're using a RPM-based distro you can build the package with 'rpmbuild -tb rkhunter-1.3.0.tar.gz' (like the docs say ;-p). Note Rootkit Hunter 1.3.0 is out and current.
