Red face Read-only access to files that should be RWX


My samba users that belongs to the same group can only access files in read-only although the owner of the file is in the same group.Please help.User X is the owner of the folder and the newly created file in that folder.Users Y and Z is members of the group X ,but when users x,y,z afterwards try to change that file it is read-only.

File/directory permissions are controlled both by samba and by Linux permissions.
Please post your smb.conf, and output of ls -l for the directory.
