Question: Partition Encryption versus webserver

Looking into the rhel 6 'encrypt partitions' system.

My question would be, will the system use the passphrase upon boot so those partitions are usable or is this a manual option only.

I would like to be able to have them encrypted should someone pull the drive out...and that would be great. As a webserver though, it would not be an option to have to manually be there to enter a passphrase on a reboot.

Hope that was clear...

thanks.

and anyone that can answer that question is sure to know this one...

the anaconda installer for rhel 6 (centos 6 actually) says you can auto screen shot every step or manually take screenshots, all to be stored in the /root/anaconda-screenshots folder.

However, when are you able to take the snapshots? At what point?
I am going to record the step by step on my install for others to use as a tool.

thanks again.
