problem with compiling "trinoo" attack

Hi, all, I am very new to linux, vi editor, network attack and everything.

I just started learning the commands for linux in order to launch and analyze the "trinoo" attack. (so still too many problems, too many things to search, learn and practice and too many steps to go forward.......)

My question this time is to compile "master" code of "trinoo".

As many of you may know, the files I have got include a regular text file which gives me a tip for compiling and executing "master" of "trinoo", I believe.

In that file, I can see;

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#slackware..
#LIBS=
LIBS= -lcrypt
master: master.c blowfish.c
gcc -o master master.c blowfish.c ${LIBS}
strip master
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I tried

" gcc -o master master.c blowfish.c ${LIBS} "

in vi editor, it always gave me something like

/tmp/ccsWSL1y.o(.text+0x1f7): In function 'main':
:undefined reference to 'crypt'

How could I sove this problem and achieve compiling successfully.

Am I thinking or knowing something wrong??

Could any of you please help me out with this??

Any help or advice would be very appreciated.

Sorry if it is a really silly question. Understand cuz I am tooo new

Thank you

Your best bet is to learn linux in general before you go trying to compile exploit code (you'll often find it won't compile cleanly without modification). Plus likely going to find your system infect with RST if you aren't careful . With that in mind, compiling exploits isn't something we encourage here.
