Please help to identify the following problem?

When I connected to the linux server from home through ssh, it
suddenly became very slow. I thought it was network problem. I visited a web page from the same server (port 80), it is normal.

the output of command last is like the following:

user1 pts/1 d14-181-17-01.b Mon FEB 3 22:21 10:10 (00:17)
user1 pts/1 14.181.17.01 Mon FEB 2 21:20 - 22:21 (01:00)
user1 pts/2 d14-181-17-01.b Sun FEB 1 23:38 - 00:16 (00:37)

please pay attention to the strange ip format.

thanks in advance!

I think that is not an ip address but a hostname. Have you tried the command top or htop to check the load on that host? Have you checked if it was the connection or the host?

thanks pan64. I don't think it is a host. This IP is my home's IP. Normally the entries in the output of command "last" are always in the format of d14-181-17-01.b. only 3 entries are in the format of 14.181.17.01 . These 3 entries were created when I logged in through SSH and I felt it was slow at the time.
