Patch for CVE-2017-9445 malicious DNS attack

I hope I'm in the right forum, if not, my apologies.

I read an article yesterday about a vulnerability in Linux for a malicious DNS attack, the malware is CVE-2017-9445. When patches are available do they come in the form of apt-get upgrade or dist-upgrade.

I am on Kali 2017.1

Thank you

Usually they do. If you are on debian, it is not effected by default, because debian does not enable systemd-resolved by default.
