Hi
I got a Ophcrack live CD and its great.
But i was wondering if there was a way to build it into my SLAX Live USB so that if i were to plug it into my PC boot into SLAX and open Ophcrack and have it work like it would in the live CD and crack all passwords on that PC that it can.
I do not use this for bad reasons please do not flame.
Thanks
NeehoSOft
We don't flame you but we don't believe your benign intentions either. It is against the rules to provide help for these cases.
Make a Windows Live CD and have fun.

Hi
Thanks for the reply
What does Benign mean?
And also, what are my intentions?
What possibly can i do with Ophcrack, i am not going to quickly in the 5 mins it takes to boot restart my friends computer while there in the bathroom and then run ophcrack and hack there password. I cannot see any reason other than recovering win passwords you have forgotten, Ophcrack would have saved me alot of time Reformatting systems.
And for the answer, making a Windows Live CD is going to magically make OphCrack appear in my Linux? Awesome .
By Windows did you mean OphCrack?
I do have a OC Live CD but it would be nice to have it in my pocket without having to buy another flash drive.
Benign means 'relatively harmless'. For example, when talking about tumours, the benign ones are the ones that are not cancerous. The non-benign ones are referred to as 'malignant', which means they are bad news, the opposite of benign.
And on topic: since we really do not know what you plan to do with this ophcrack thing, but we do know it is intended to crack or discover passwords, it isn't something that the LQ Rules permit members to help you figure out. If you use it for benign purposes, that's great. But we simply don't know, so it is in our best interest to leave it up to you to figure out different ways of installing or using it. For all we know, we help you, and next week in the news, there you are, caught stealing passwords somewhere with a Slax/Ophcrack CD in your pocket
As stated by my fellow moderator, the LQ Rules don't allow members to provide assistance with these sort of issues. If I was you, I'd give the Ophcrack forum a shot. On that note, this thread is closed.
